MORRISVILLE, N.C. (September 21, 2004) - HireNetworks, providers of recruiting, staffing and human resources consulting services today announced its continued support for charitable organizations in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. The firm's philanthropy program contributes to non-profit organizations that provide community service initiatives in three focus areas: education and job skills training, health and human needs, and youth programs. HireNetworks also selectively supports arts and cultural initiatives.

For 2004, HireNetworks has committed to continue its longtime sponsorships of TechEngage, Band Together and the Jimmy V Celebrity Junior Golf Classic. The firm will commit financial resources as well as the time and talents of its employees to each of these organizations.

TechEngage is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 to provide training to North Carolina residents who are unemployed or working outside their area of technical expertise. The five-day conferences are designed to help participants develop their skills, learn cutting-edge technologies and prepare for the job-hunting process.

Band Together is a group of business leaders from across the Triangle, who first "banded together" in October 2001 to raise awareness of and money for the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Encouraged by the success of the October 2001 event and its impact on the local community, the group was reborn in 2003 as Band Together, an organization committed to supporting the Triangle through raising awareness and funds for local, national and international nonprofit organizations.

Each year cancer afflicts more children under the age of 18 than any other disease. To help combat the growing number of cases, local organizers have come together to form The Jimmy V Celebrity Junior Golf Classic. The goal of this event is to raise $50,000 to $75,000.00 for pediatric cancer research.
